GATE Algebra (7th Grade)

The 2010-2011 7th grade GATE Algebra Eligibility Criteria was sent home with your 6th grade child in March 2010. A parent letter was attached explaining the criteria. Students will need to meet these prerequisites in order to be placed in the accelerated math program next fall. Students must meet ALL of the following: Score Advanced on the Third Trimester 6th Grade Math Benchmark Assessment and Score 500 or above on the 6th Grade Math California Standards Test (CST). The district will send out a written invitation and the participation agreement in mid August to the students who qualify for this program. If an incoming 7th grade student does not meet the above criteria, that child will be placed in 7th grade math.
